DESCRIPTION:We are Thankful to have YOU as a Friend of the Family Violence Program of St. Bernard. Domestic violence affects people in all social\, economic\, racial\, religious\, and ethnic groups – whether married\, divorced\, living together\, dating\, straight or in a LGBTQIA+ relationship. Our mission is to empower all survivors of domestic violence—through programs promoting quality assurance and continuous growth— to live independent lives free from power and control by other individuals. \nIn the midst of COVID-19\, we continue to welcome those into our shelter who need to escape from their abuser and provide them with their needs that include food\, clothing\, counseling\, and a comfortable place to stay. \nNormally held in May\, #GiveNOLA Day has been moved to June. But beginning TODAY\, you can schedule a #GiveNOLA Day contribution online at https://fvpsb.org. \nPlease consider giving a tax-deductible donation that will allow the Family Violence Program of St. Bernard to continue assisting domestic violence survivors so that they can get back on their feet and live a life free from pain and become active members of our community.
